July 17th, 2013, VANCOUVER, B.C. – ASHBURTON VENTURES INC. (TSX-V: ABR) (ARB-FRANKFURT) (“Ashburton” or the "Company”) is pleased to announce the addition of Robert Meister to its advisory board. For the past seven years Mr. Meister has headed up Corporate Development for Alpha Mineral’s Inc (TSX-V: AMW). Ashburton is fortunate to now gain valuable input from Mr. Meister as the Company moves ahead on its various projects, most notably the Sienna uranium project located in the Athabasca basin.
Mr. Meister has nearly 20 years of experience working with public and private companies, while specializing in the resource sector since 2005. As a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Marketing Management, he has also participated in their Exploration and Mining for Investment course. His experience and entrepreneurial nature has allowed him to develop and manage numerous business and management relationships. Mr. Meister’s skill set includes all aspects of marketing and corporate communications at institutional and retail levels, community relations, and assisting in raising capital at all phases of corporate development.
Ashburton has also begun its first phase of work at both Athabasca Basin uranium exploration projects, which include property-wide geological reconnaissance, grid-based geophysical (scintillometer) surveys, soil and water sampling (radon), and float prospecting for uraninite. At the Patterson Lake South property, the discovery of uraninite boulders on surface was the first indication of near-surface uranium mineralization that was intersected in drilling (see Alpha Minerals news release, October 25th, 2012).
