February 20, 2018, VANCOUVER, B.C. – ASHBURTON VENTURES INC. (ABR-TSX:V) (ARB-FRANKFURT)  (“Ashburton” or the "Company”) announces the appointment of Mr. Edward Beggs, M.S., to its Board of Directors.

Edward Beggs has enjoyed a successful career as an entrepreneur while giving back to BC as a long-term, part time university instructor. Ed earned a Master of Science in Environment and Management in 2001 and has been teaching at a university level since 2002.

Early in his career, Ed worked in project management of design/build construction projects. Following a decade of project management, Ed founded a direct shipping building supplies company in 1995. In 2000, Ed founded a company which developed solutions to convert diesel engines into dual fuel engines capable of running on vegetable oil. Both companies continue to operate under Ed’s direction.

Ed is a resident of Salmon Arm and a consumer and avid fan of zeolite. “I was introduced to zeolite by Steve Harpur, the President of Ashburton in 2017. I began to study its many uses and quickly became a user of zeolite for earth and pet friendly traction control of my driveway. I am enthused to work with the management team of Ashburton to advance the Z-1 Zeolite Project in Cache Creek while also providing my experience in developing markets for new products.”

“We are very pleased to have Ed Beggs join the team of Ashburton.  I have personally known Ed for approximately 5 years and value his knowledge and experience” stated Steve Harpur, President and COO of Ashburton Ventures Inc.

Ashburton Ventures Inc. is a Canadian-based junior exploration company focused on zeolite and lithium projects in Canada.
